See the beauty and splendor of Hawaii’s sharks as they rise from the depths to greet you. This thrilling experience, offered nowhere else in Hawaii, will profoundly affect your feelings towards sharks, as you join them 3 miles off Oahu’s beautiful North Shore.

You will leave Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor and travel out to sea to view these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat. Often on the way you will also see dolphins, Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, and magnificent Humpback Whales (November through May ONLY). All this, and breathtaking views of Oahu’s North Shore make your adventure complete.

The first tour leaves Haleiwa Harbor at 7:00 a.m. and lasts 2 hours. Additional tours are available throughout the day. North Shore Shark Adventures uses two 32-foot Anderson boats with a swim step at the stern.

Safety of our passengers is our first concern and we will begin the tour with an informative safety briefing. People may bring their own mask and snorkel, however, fins are not necessary and masks and snorkels are provided. The sharks we see range in size from 5 to 15 feet. These sharks will often be inches away from the cage and the spectators inside!

We will travel offshore approximately 3 to 4 miles. Once we get to the area, the shark cage is placed into the beautiful cobalt blue water. The visibility is so good (often 200 feet or more) that you can actually see the sharks come up from the deep. The cage can hold 2 people very comfortably. People are encouraged to bring underwater cameras because they will be able to get some of the best photographs of Hawaiian sharks possible anywhere!

People from around the world, including England, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and from almost every State in the mainland have enjoyed this tour. Some of the people that come on the tour have never been in the ocean before. Many people come with a phobia about sharks. After our tour, their inhibitions and fears disappear and they have a greater respect for sharks and their beauty.

For Guests WITHOUT a hotel pick-up, the tour leaves from Slip 35 in the Small Boat Harbor in Historic Haleiwa Town.
Directions: Haleiwa is about a 1 hour drive from Waikiki. Take the H-1 West then H-2 North until the Wahiawa exit (#5). Drive through Wahiawa and continue North on Kamehameha Highway. Turn off at the Haleiwa exit and proceed to the Small Boat Harbor. You will find us at Slip 35 in the Haleiwa Small Boat Harbor.

Passengers should meet at this address at least 15 minutes prior to departure.

Hotel Pickup:

For an additional charge, Hotel Pick-Up/Drop-Off is available from Hotels in the Waikiki Area.

Return Details:

Tour concludes at the original departure point.

Discounts for Children and Seniors:

Discounts are availabe for Children ages 12 and Under. Children ages 2 and under are FREE and are not allowed in the underwater shark cage.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12- 24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for this tour: Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses. For Guests Participating in the Underwater Shark Cage: Bathing Suit and underwater camera (masks and snorkels provided).

Weather: Tour route or activity may be changed depending on local weather conditions.

Meals, Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
