Kualoa Ranch, family owned and operated, has as its mission to be a role model as stewards of the land. They do this by preserving, protecting and enhancing the natural beauty and culture of the land, while developing recreational and agricultural enterprises compatible with the environment. Kualoa cares about and wishes to communicate their concern and reverence for the natural environment and the unique Hawaiian culture.

Kualoa is one of the most historically significant destinations on Oahu, and in ancient times, one of the most sacred places on the island. Come experience the aloha and special sense of 'ohana' (family) that the Kualoa employees share.

The ranch is comprised of three majestic mountains and 2 gorgeous valleys. The various activities offered at Kualoa are not only fun, but they allow people of different interests and abilities the opportunity to visit this extraordinary place. Kualoa Ranch has a unique and interesting history that will unfold with each activity and tour!

Horsback Rides

1 Hour Horseback Ride

Guests will see the southern half of the ranch. Vistas of the famed "Chinaman's Hat," Mokoli'i Island and an ancient 800 year-old Hawaiian fishpond accompany the great feeling of spending time riding horses.

2 Hour Horseback Ride

Guests will adventure to the northern part of the ranch deep into Ka'a'awa Valley. Rides take you through forested areas, past World War II bunkers, into Ka'a'awa Valley, all with fantastic views of the Kualoa Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

ATV Rides

1 Hour ATV Ride

Guests will experience a true adventure aboard their own All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) deep into Ka'a'awa Valley where Jurassic Park and other feature films were made.

2 Hour ATV Ride

Culturally rich and overlooking beautiful Kaneohe Bay, the ATV ride into the south side of the ranch will round out a full experience of Kualoa.

Ranch Tours

Half Day Hawaiian Experience

Guests can choose any one 2-hour tour OR any two 1-hour tours offered at the Ranch plus enjoy a delicious buffet lunch! Round trip transportation to and from Waikiki hotels is also included.

This package includes escorted round-trip transportation from Waikiki hotels, your choice of one 2-hour tour AND two 1-hour tours and a delicious buffet lunch.

Tour Start Location

All tours include pick-up and drop-off from all hotels in the Waikiki area.

For guests not staying in the Waikiki area or for those wishing to arrive on their own, all tours depart from the Kualoa Ranch. Directions are as follows:
From Waikiki and downtown Honolulu take the H-1 Freeway west to the Likelike (Highway 63) exit. Take the Likelike Highway towards Kaneohe through the Wilson tunnel. Look for the Kahekili exit on the right. It curves to the left and you will head north until you reach Kualoa Ranch (about 20 minutes). The ranch is across from Kualoa Regional Park. Go past the park entrance around the curve of Kamehameha Highway and look for the Kualoa Visitor Center sign on your left. Turn left into the entrance and follow signs to the parking area.

Requirements and Special Instructions

For all Horseback Riding Tours: Guests Must be at Least 10 Years of Age and 4 feet 6 inches or taller; Long pants are recommended and shoes are required. Weight limit: 230 lbs.

For all ATV Tours: Guests Must be at Least 16 Years of Age; shoes are required.

For the Gun Range Experience: Participants must be 16 years and up; 20 rounds allowed from each 22 caliber pistol and each rifle.

For the Ranch/Movie Set Tour: There is no age limit but all guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

About Kualoa Ranch

Established in 1850, Kualoa Ranch is a 4000 acre working cattle ranch, spread from the steep mountain cliffs to the sparkling sea. Located on the northeastern side of Oahu in the Hawaiian countryside, it is less than an hour from Honolulu.

There are two major areas of the ranch: the northern half of the ranch including Ka'a'awa Valley which contains most of the movie locations and sets, and the southern half that includes Hakipu Valley, the 800 year-old Moil'i fishpond, and Secret Island.
